Poilievre is harmful for Canada

In contrast to the positive policies of Justin Trudeau, Conservative politician Pierre Poilievre is attempting to stoke fear among Canadians by painting an exaggeratedly bleak picture of Canada. This, despite the fact that Canada’s economy is stronger than ever and inflation is the lowest among the G7 nations.

Poilievre persists with his narrative that “Canada is broken,” but the reality makes it increasingly difficult to sustain. Unlike Trudeau, who believes in working together with different political parties for the benefit of all Canadians, Poilievre offers no policies — only complaints. He has consistently voted against nearly every bill put forward by Prime Minister Trudeau and his party. If Poilievre refuses to support initiatives for the welfare of Canadians now, what can we expect from him if he were to be elected?

Not only this, but Poilievre also aligns himself with the far-right, resembling a Canadian Trump. His approach, steeped in chaos and disruption, is about taking Canada backward rather than moving forward. Poilievre and his Conservatives have voted against every policy and social program for Canadians, clearly showing that he doesn’t care about Canadians, but only his rich friends. He has also talked about how he would stop every social program.

Poilievre mostly has only misinformtion and no policies but if there’s any they’re up for failure, just like his plan for housing crisis. Experts say Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s plan to address Canada’s housing crisis uses targets that aren’t grounded in reality and would set municipalities up for failure.

Moreover, this Conservative politician’s vision for Canada includes (Just as we saw in the video) flying Russian fighter jets in the sky, reminding us of how he didn’t stand for Ukraine and dismissed their struggle as ‘a faraway land.’

Poilievre is essentially a typical Canadian conservative who disguises his elite-friendly agenda with anti-elite rhetoric aimed at working-class voters. Not only is he anti-democracy, but he also aligns himself with right-wingers who oppose democratic norms and values. His dangerous rhetoric has mainstreamed conspiracy theories and undermined public trust in institutions, leading to increased polarization in the country. He thrives on hate and division.

We must do everything possible to prevent this transphobe, anti-climate, and anti-everything-beneficial-for-Canadians politician, Poilievere, from winning the elections.
