International Day of the Girl

I have a daughter. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and sensitive, strong, and full of dreams.

On this International Day of Girls, we celebrate not only her potential, but the potential of every girl, in Canada and around the world.

With the right opportunities and support, they can grow into extraordinary women, shaping a better world.

My husband and I believe that it’s essential to create environments where she and every girl feel valued, heard, and encouraged to pursue their dreams.

It’s also essential that we nurture them to be both kind and strong, so they can navigate the challenges of tomorrow.

As we support their growth, we also shape the future, ensuring that each girl has the foundation to become the remarkable woman she is meant to be.

To every girl I say this:
